Tomi Immonen
Member of the Parliament of Finland

I am an first term member of parliament from Central Finland and an Lieutenant Colonel (Retired). Before entering politics I served in the Finnish Defence Forces for 30 years. During that time I also made one tour in Lebanon as a part of United Nations Interim Force.

After my career in the Defence Forces, I settled in Laukaa, Central Finland. During my time in Defence Forces, I felt great responsibility for my country, for it`s safety and future. I felt that natural way to continue serving my beloved country would be trough politics. I joined the only political party that for my point of few was caring the most for Finland and Finnish people, the Finns party. In local elections 2021 I got the second most votes in whole Laukaa and entered local politics and municipal executive board. In 2023 I were for the first time running for the Finnish Parliament and got elected with most votes of the Finns party candidates in Central Finland electorate.

In the Parliament I have been working as a member of Audit Committee and Defence Committee and debuty member of Transport and Communications Committee. I am also a Chair for NATO Parliamentary Assembly.
